POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER Classic/Vintage Car Parade

Due to the ongoing inclement weather in the forecast, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the outdoor activities planned for this Saturday and Sunday as part of our 70th Anniversary Celebration Weekend.

Party in the Park and the Yorath House Tour & Park Walk will be rescheduled for this fall. More information will be shared once a new date has been confirmed.

Rev up your engines and join us for a special part of our 70th Anniversary celebrations! 

On Saturday, June 27, the Edmonton Classic Sports Car Club will kick off our Party in the Park weekend with a Classic & Vintage Car Parade through Laurier Heights, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Following the parade, vehicles will be on display in the Community Hall parking lot from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you're a lifelong car enthusiast or simply appreciate a bit of nostalgia, come out and admire an impressive collection of classic and vintage vehicles right here in our neighbourhood.

and mental wellbeing.

Take a deep breath.

This program introduces a variety of breathing techniques designed to boost the delivery of oxygen to the body and brain, which helps to strengthen the lungs and muscles while improving overall breathing. You will learn and practice simple exercises that serve a variety of purposes. Through demonstration, explanations and repeating exercises, students learn the correct physical posture and mental attitude for effective deep breathing. This program is effective for anyone, regardless of their level of fitness and strength.

Our main display will be in the Helen Richards Heritage Hall with more artwork, refreshments, and goodies in the Laurier Room. Stay awhile and meet old friends or make some new ones!

LHCL PlayGroup is Back!

We are piloting meeting on Thursday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Helen Richards Heritage Hall. Parents/Caregivers of infants, toddlers and preschoolers (0-5 years) are invited to join us at the Laurier Heights Community Hall for unstructured play and socializing. The children will love the toys, books, and playing with each other, while you have the opportunity to meet and visit with other families in the neighbourhood.
